Playing matches at Vinehall SchoolVinehall is proud of its record in playing competitive sport and many of our children achieve places in county and national squads in hockey, rugby and cricket. In recent years our gymnastic, cross-country and swimming squads have won medals at national IAPS events. Matches are played on Wednesday and Saturday in all the major winter and summer sports. We ensure that all children are given a chance to represent the school and this sometimes means running at least two teams in each year group. Children in Years 3 and 4 are gradually introduced to playing competitive sport in friendly tournaments with schools of similar size. This provides an opportunity for teams to play in mixed ability teams without too much emphasis on the final result. |
