Vinehall Nursery, Kindergarten and Pre-Prep

Welcome to Vinehall Pre-Prep. Our school is situated beside the Preparatory School, sharing the extensive grounds, with wonderful views across open countryside. The Nursery, Kindergarten and Pre-Prep are accommodated in a single, purpose-built school with its own hall and library area. We aim to foster a happy, caring family atmosphere and the small ratio of children to adults allows us to get to know the children really well.

We aim to help children reach their true potential and give them the confidence to achieve in all areas of school life. Personal, Social and Emotional development are just as important to a young child as academic achievement and we ensure that children learn good manners, develop the ability to share, learn to care for others and take on responsibility.

Promoting the self-confidence and self-esteem of our children within a happy and caring atmosphere is central to the teaching and learning in the Pre-Prep.

At Vinehall Pre-Prep we provide a broad, balanced and high quality education which is aimed at developing the children socially, intellectually and physically, standing them in good stead for the future years. We welcome visitors to our happy and vibrant school and look forward to having the opportunity to show you around.

Facilities

The children are taught in a modern building with spacious, bright classrooms. The Pre-Prep has a selection of wonderful outdoor play areas as well as a designated Outdoor Learning Area. Its close proximity to the Prep School enables the younger children to use all the facilities including the indoor heated swimming pool, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) suite, theatre, magnificent sports complex and playing fields. We make full use of the extensive grounds from rambles through the snow in winter to growing plants in the summer and the thrills of science investigations throughout the year.

Staff

We have a team of dedicated and highly motivated staff, which includes teachers, nursery nurses and teaching assistants. The team is joined by a Learning Support Officer (SENCO) who helps individuals that have been identified as requiring additional support. As a school we are committed to professional development which ensures we maintain high standards and provide the best education for the children in our care.

Communication with Parents

We encourage a working partnership with our parents and recognise that learning goes beyond the classroom. Daily contact with parents is achieved using a home/school link book or through contact with the staff at the end of the day. More formal opportunities to discuss a child’s progress and attainment are available through Parents’ Evenings and written reports.
