Nineteenth Season 2007-2008

The Nineteenth season of concerts has provided some wonderful musical moments and I am pleased to report that attendances have been excellent and our audiences as keen as ever to come to Vinehall for chamber music of the highest quality.

We started the season with the London Concertante, who played works by Mendelssohn, Beethoven and Mozart, including his well-known Clarinet Concerto. It was lovely to have a full stage of performers and was an ideal concert for both children and adults.

Seventeenth Season 2005-2006

The Seventeenth season of concerts has provided some wonderful musical moments and I am pleased to report that attendances have been excellent and our audiences as keen as ever to come to Vinehall for chamber music of the highest quality.

We started the season with London Concertante, who played works by Arensky,Debussy and Mozart. It is always good to get a larger group of musicians performing at Vinehall, and over twenty players along with the harpist Lucy Wakeford and the flautist Julian Sperry delighted the audience with their performance of Mozart's Concerto for Flute and Harp. They finished with a lively account of Mozart's 40th Symphony.

It always seems such a long time ahead to be planning but it is necessary to secure the best musicians. The August before the start of the season is always busy, as I await (with a degree of trepidation) the booking forms, as I never know whether demand will be high or low. Fortunately, bookings were strong and some concerts sold out very quickly.
