Vinehall School is a co-educational day and boarding school which welcomes pupils of all social and cultural backgrounds. At Vinehall we promote a Christian ethos that values each individual and the contribution that each person makes. Through this approach we aim to build within each child a positive self-image and the confidence to tackle new experiences to the best of his or her ability. The school fosters an atmosphere which makes all pupils feel included and secure and we aim to develop the intellectual, physical and social potential of all Vinehall pupils to the full.
Academic standards are generally high. Most Year 7 and 8 pupils study towards Common Entrance exams and pupils achieve a number of scholarships to public schools each year. The school has a long-established reputation for excellence and provides appropriate preparation for the full range of schools at secondary level.
Children can start at Vinehall any time after their second birthday. Children are invited to attend a taster day before joining, where they will gain a feel for the school and meet the children in their year group. For older children, reports from the child’s previous school will be required and there may be some informal cognitive ability tests. Parents should advise the school of any specific needs so that we can provide appropriate support where necessary.
Vinehall is an independent school and information on school fees is available here. There are fee remissions available through an annual scholarship day and means-tested bursaries are available.
More information can be obtained through our prospectus or by contacting the registrar.
