Information Communications Technology (ICT)

Information Communications Technology (ICT)

In the fast and changing world of ICT, here at Vinehall we provide excellent facilities for the pupils to develop their basic IT skills to support everyday needs. There is a dedicated suite for full classroom teaching supported with the use of an interactive whiteboard. This area is further supported by two open areas for quiet study. All junior classrooms are equipped with a pc for individual research, while other subject areas are equipped with their own banks of computers.

All pupils have their own storage and access to email and the internet through secure content filters. A wide range of software is available to meet all requirements from MS Office Pro and the Serif range of applications to individual subject specific.

Years 2 through to 6 are taught in 40-minute lessons once a week, covering all the areas required, giving the pupils the confidence to be able to complete tasks set within other curriculum subjects.
