Charles Bostock
Known as Charlie, he joined the Board in 2001. He is a Housemaster at Eastbourne College, and has recently been promoted to Deputy Head as well.

David Chivers
David is the current Chairman of the Board, which he joined in 2003. He is a Consultant to the firm of Heringtons, solicitors, currently practising in Battle. He had four sons at Vinehall. David is also a member of the F&GP Committee.

Francis De Beer
Francis joined the Board in 1980 and was Chairman for many years, giving up the Chair when he moved out of the area. He remained an active and loyal Governor during a period of living in Devon, but has now returned to the South East. He is a retired Accountant. He is a member of the F&GP Committee.

Moira Gammell
Known as Moy, she became a Governor in 1996. She lives near the School and is a stalwart of several Committees, including Risk and F&GP. She had three children at the School and was asked to join the Board when the last, Charles, left in 1996.

Elizabeth Goodman
Known to all as Liz, she joined the Board in 1993 having had two sons at Vinehall who left in 1991. A local florist, (her description – she actually creates the most wonderful arrangements for weddings, etc.!!), she is also a member of the F&GPC.

Malcolm Gordon
Malcolm is a Vine (Old Boy) and is also most active in the Vines Society. He became a Governor in 1985, was formerly a mechanical engineer and company director. He is the current Chairman of the Risk and F&GP Committees.

Tim Haynes
Tim is the current Head of Tonbridge School and was elected in December 2005.

Philip Le Brocq MA (Cantab)
Philip is a long-standing Governor, having been elected in 1978. He was a House Master and Head of English at Eastbourne College, but is now a leadership and communication consultant based in Jersey. He has brought his skills in directing plays and writing sonnets to Vinehall where his "Hands-on" and "Go-for-it" approach have kept Governors on their toes. He has been instrumental in setting up the Vinehall Foundation, chairing the Steering Committee.

Brian Melia
Brian is the current Head of Brighton College Prep School and was elected in December 2005.

Angela Monro
Angela is a local businesswoman who is also a JP. She was elected in 2001and had two children at the School. She is a member of both the Risk and F&GP Committees.

Caroline Moore
Caroline is a journalist. Amongst other things she reviews books for the Daily Telegraph where her husband, Charles, was editor until he left to write Margaret Thatcher’s biography. They had two children at the School, and she became a Governor in 2004, a year after the children left. She is a member of the Risk Committee.

Paul Redstone
Paul was elected a Governor in March 2007. He and his wife Margie (who is Vinehall’s Director of Studies) had four children at the School. Paul initially worked in computer software in space, defence and related sectors and now runs his own software company, providing customer relationship software. He is on the Vinehall Foundation Steering Committee and is also a Trustee of St Michael's Hospice Development Trust.

Patrick Rice-Oxley
Patrick became a Governor in 2004. He is a GP in Battle and had two sons at the School.

Nick Russell-Davis
Nick is the only founder member of the Board remaining, setting up (with others) the company known as Vinehall School Limited in 1966. A Vine, he has recently retired from his work as a Chartered Accountant. He is a member of the F&GPC.

John Thackray
John was elected in June 2007. A Clerk in Holy Orders, he is Chaplain to King’s School, Rochester.

William Wade
Known as Bill, he joined the Board in 1994. A retired Bank Manager, he had three children at Vinehall and now has grandchildren at the School. He is a member of the Risk Committee.

Mike Wagstaffe
Mike was elected a Governor in 2004, just after he had retired as Headmaster of Dulwich College Preparatory School.
